Learn to Make Nylon Wedding Lily Tutorial

In this post I am sharing a very simple tutorial to make a beautiful lily with nylon stockings net. This flower needs one big petal. Honestly, don’t think it’s easy, it requires some practice before you make a bigger petal for this flower. Smaller petals are easier to cover with nylon. But the bigger it gets the challenging it is to cover it without distorting it’s round shape. Material to Make Nylon Lilies

To make this flower with nylon or stocking net:

• Ring size (8) {as a substitute use anything round with the diameter 8}
• Yellow and white nylon
• Floral tape
• Wire
• Stem wire
• Plier and scissors
• Napkin/ tissue or cotton
• PVA Glue or mod podge

Step-by-Step Instructions Nylon Lilies

Make flower bud:

Take a piece of tissue paper, simply fold it twice and cut in a linear shape. This will help roll the paper on the stem wire without fold and shaping it and make it easy and smooth.

• Now dab some glue at the starting and start rolling it over the stem wire.
• Close and secure at the end with some more glue.
• Let it dry.
• Then wrap 2-3 layers of nylon over the tissue paper and your spadix is complete.

Make the Petal:

• To make the flower. Take the ring size (8), wind the wire around it, twist and cut the rest with the plier.
• Then wrap the ring in the white nylon net, stretch at one end secure and thread.
• Follow the instructions for making petals and assembling the flower for starters in the post Basic Nylon Flower.

Now simply thread the petal (spathe) over the wire, fold and shape it as you go and you calla lily is complete.
