Hello friends! It’s been a while since I last post

Hello friends! It’s been a while since I last posted a craft or DIY project. I have been busy but in a good way. Today I want to share how small things make a lasting impact. I turned a once flat kitchen island into a feature with simple changes to bring some contrast into a white kitchen.

Here’s what I did:
1. Flat board and batten
2. Painted the island cracked pepper to bring contrast
3. Added a kitchen hanging bar for decor on one side. I like to keep counters empty to have more working space
4. A rolling cart on the other side for kitchen appliances and accessories.
5. A green space filled with herbs and houseplants for fresh air and joy!

I came across a ton of research that when we are doing things with our hands whether it’s cooking, gardening, or crafting. There’s something called tue “EFFORT DRIVEN REWARD CYCLE” in our brain and it’s literally our hands that triggered the happy chemicals “hormones” to be released in our brain!
