I made superhero cape jello cups for my son’s 5th Marvel Superhero’s inspired birthday party. Before sharing the party details I would like to share this easy tutorial to make DIY superhero cape with felt. You can create superman jello cups by inserting superman symbol cupcake topper on the top. Like Thor by using his symbol. In the same way the rest of the crew can join in to create fun jello cups for the party.
These superhero cape jello cups were a super hit with the kids. They loved it!
Superhero cape cups
To make these you will need:
- Red felt
- Glue gun
- Rubber bands
- Jello cups (cups with a stand)
- Cupcake toppers
Start by tracing and cutting a cape template on the paper. Use it to cut felt capes.
Now use hot glue to fold the top part of the felt cape, such that the rubber band sandwiches inside.
Press the folded part together for a while. Hot glue dries very quick and in just a few minutes you will have tons of capes ready.
Wait for it! Prepare and refrigerate your jello. Hang the super cape and cupcake toppers when serving.
