Guest post easy independence day wall art

Hello Craftionary Readers!

I’m Pam visiting from Snowflakes and Dragonflies. Here to share guest post easy independence wall art.

I want to thank Hani for giving me this opportunity to share with all of you! This blog is an avenue to show my friends and family who live several hours away my projects, food, crafts and just what I’ve been up to in general. I would love to be able to tell you that I am a stay at home mom with a live in maid; however the reality is that I get to work a full 40 outside the home and I am the maid.

Now on to today’s craft.
The biggest holiday of the summer is just around the corner and I for one love Independence Day! The family gatherings, the food and the fireworks! It’s just a fun day of celebrating! I love patriotic decor; unfortunately Mr. Manly Man does not. A red, white and blue living room is not his cup of tea bottle of beer.  Good thing he’s okay with a little wall decor.
Here is what I used:
  •  Set of frames
  • Wooden letters
  • Fabric
  • Paint
  • Mod podge

How I made it:
I started by painting the letters old white

While they dried, I decoupaged the fabric to the picture frame glass. When it dried, I cut out the excess fabric

Then I put the glass back into the frames and hot glued the letters to the glass.

The “U” frame is my favorite.  A little measuring and a couple of nails in the wall and here’s what I ended up with.
Easy, inexpensive and it looks great!
Simple and sweet idea! Thanks for sharing it Pam.
