Guest Post- Easy Independence Day Wall Decor

Hello Craftionary Readers!
I’m Pam visiting from Snowflakes and Dragonflies
I want to thank Hani for giving me this opportunity to share with all of you! I started to blog as an avenue to show my friends and family – who live several hours away – my projects, food, crafts and just what I’ve been up to in general. I would love to be able to tell you that I am a stay at home mom with a live in maid; however the reality is that I get to work a full 40 outside the home and I am the maid.
Now on to today’s craft.
The biggest holiday of the summer is just around the corner and I for one love Independence Day! The family gatherings, the food and the fireworks! It’s just a fun day of celebrating! I love patriotic decor; unfortunately Mr. Manly Man does not. A red, white and blue living room is not his cup of tea bottle of beer.  Good thing he’s okay with a little wall decor.
Here is what I used:
  •  Set of frames
  • Wooden letters
  • Fabric
  • Paint
  • Mod podge
How I made it:
I started by painting the letters old white

While they dried, I decoupaged the fabric to the picture frame glass. When it dried, I cut out the excess fabric

Then I put the glass back into the frames and hot glued the letters to the glass.

The “U” frame is my favorite.  A little measuring and a couple of nails in the wall and here’s what I ended up with.
Easy, inexpensive and it looks great!
Simple and sweet idea! Thanks for sharing it Pam.
Don’t forget to check out Snowflakes and Dragonflies for these cute ideas:
